Brandon Barker

Age: 19
Team: Manchester City
Position: Winger

Playing predominantly on the left wing, Barker has been running riot in the Barclays u21 Premier League, the accuracy of his finishing is great to watch and the maturity in his play is impressive, he is not shy of his defensive duties and regularly provides assists for his team-mates. The England U20 is highly thought of at Manchester City and made his debut this season in 5-1 defeat against Chelsea in the FA Cup. It’s going to be uphill task to break into first team at Manchester City but Barker has the tools to succeed.

Nathan Oduwa

Age: 20
Team: Tottenham Hotspur
Position: Winger

On the left or on the right, it doesn’t matter Nathan Oduwa is a tricky customer for all defenders. His eye-catching style is pure box office at times. He had a good loan spell earlier this season at Rangers and is currently on-loan at Colchester United. Tottenham’s academy has produced the likes of Harry Kane and Ryan Mason, and Oduwa will be looking to impress Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino in pre-season.

Alex Iwobi

Age: 20
Team: Arsenal
Position: Attacking Midfielder

Not looking out of place in a team that includes Mesut Özil and Alexis Sanchez is no small feat. His name is already being sung by the Arsenal faithful and rightfully so, the recently capped Nigerian international has arguably been the highlight of Arsenal’s season. After a good performance against Barcelona at the Camp Nou and scoring on his full premier league debut against Everton in the same week, the hard working midfielder has been a fixture on the left of Arsenal’s midfield ever since, contributing with goals and assists. He is definitely one to look out for next season.

Timothy Fosu-Mensah

Age: 18
Team: Manchester United
Position: Central Defender

Quick, strong, comfortable on the ball, Fosu- Mensah has all the attributes to become a world-class defender. He is also very versatile and can play anywhere in the back four but looks like he will eventually settle in the heart of the defence. United swooped him from the famed Ajax academy in 2014 and the Dutchman has impressed hugely since making his debut. He is the one shining light in what can only be described as a calamitous defence at Man Utd.

Sheyi Ojo

Age: 18
Team: Liverpool
Postion: Winger

Ojo went out on loan to Wolves at the start of the season, however his performances there prompted Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp to recall the winger back to Anfield. He can play on either flank and has all the attributes of a good old fashioned winger, with an eye for goal. He’s technically advanced for his age so much so that Liverpool paid Mk Dons an estimated £2m for him in 2011 when he was just 14. He’s had a good start to his Liverpool career and hopefully he can build on this next season.

Ben Chilwell

Age: 18
Team: Leicester City
Position: Left Back

First and foremost the England U20 international is a good defender. He excels in 1v1 situations and is a threat going forward. He was handed his debut by the Premier League champions in the FA Cup defeat to Tottenham in January following a good loan spell at Huddersfield earlier this season. If Leicester can keep him in the summer he will give Christian Fuchs a run for his money next season.

Chuba Akpom

Age: 20
Team: Arsenal
Position : Striker

Chuba Akpom has been a goal machine for Arsenal at youth level. The 20 year old striker has spent this season on loan at Hull City scoring 7 goals. He will be able to give Arsenal a different dynamic upfront with his pace and direct play. It will be interesting to see if he stays at Arsenal in the summer, but one thing for sure, he can certainly be a nightmare for defenders.

Marcus Rashford

Age: 18
Team: Manchester United
Position: Striker

The Red Devil’s no.39 burst on the scene, seemingly out of nowhere scoring two goals on his debut against Midtjylland in the Europa league. After a dream start to his career at Old Trafford he scored another brace against Arsenal 3 days later, and the rest is history. He has been playing regularly ever since, showcasing his ability to get goals. However overall play is impressive, Rashford is very intelligent with his link up play and can certainly beat a defender. The big question is, can he become next big United striker or United’s next Macheda!

Cameron Brannagan

Age: 20
Team: Liverpool
Position: Attacking Midfielder

The versatile midfielder can play in the middle of the park, out on the flanks but behind the striker in the no.10 is where he really excels. The Liverpool U21 captain was handed his debut earlier this season against Bordeaux and reportedly has the like of Barcelona sniffing around for his services. He has a great range of passing, scores goals, assists and has the ability to dictate tempo. Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is definitely a fan and next season could be the season we see what the Manchester-born youngster has to offer.

Kelechi Iheanacho

Age: 19
Team: Manchester City
Position: Forward

Well, well, the list wouldn't be complete without his man would it?  When it comes to Kelechi Iheanacho it's safe to say it can only get better! The Nigerian international is composed in the box and Premier League goalkeepers are finding out he’s clinical in front of goal, he is quite simply a big handful for defenders, he gets on the end of crosses and has managed to score 13 goals in all competitions so far this season. He has even knocked £30m striker Wilfried Bony down in the pecking order at the Etihad in what has been a breakthrough season for Iheanacho, Man city fans should be excited to see what he can do for the future.
