Three-time FIFA World Player of the Year now known as the Ballon d'Or. From age 17 he's been a part of the Brazilian Squad that won the 1994 FIFA World Cup. At the 1998 World Cup, he received the Golden Ball for player of the tournament and in 2002 he led Brazil to World Cup glory.
He has played for many prestige clubs, PSV Eindhoven, Barcelona, Inter Milan, Real Madrid, AC Milan before heading back home to play for Corinthians.
They don't call him El Fenomeno for no reason, a player who has had all the odds against him with injuries blighting a beautiful career but nevertheless he still left his mark on the beautiful game.
“He was my idol and then I ended up playing and winning a World Cup with him. The most complete striker there has ever been, the most complete striker there will ever be, it is almost unbelievable to think that he never won the Champions League." - Ronaldinho
Here is a tribute from Nike to him with an old school Joga Bontio advert, enjoy the clip!
